We just got back from seeing the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra with Helen Welch at the wonderfully restored Akron Civic Theater. It was a wonderful show and worth every penny, although at only $20 per ticket it was already a bargain. I got us front row, center tickets! Helen Welch has quite a voice on her and the band did a superb job of backing her up. If you get a chance, I recommend catching on of their shows.
We are already looking to purchase tickets for her holiday season show, we were really impressed. I had not been to the Civic for several years and was absolutely amazed at the renovation that took place. It is a very beautiful, historic and majestic theater, if you have not been in a while it is time to go back and support the theater and the local art/theater scene!
